Make It Yours

How do I set my pronouns? (/pronouns)

Type /pronouns <pronouns> <color>, for example /pronouns she/her pink. Your pronouns show after your name in chat and in the tab list, like Steve (she/her). Everyone can use it.

  • Pronouns: letters and / only, up to 12 characters, like she/her, he/him, they/them or she/they.
  • Color: you have to pick one: red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue, purple, pink, white or grey. Or use a hex code, like /pronouns he/him FF66CC. Very dark colors aren't allowed, so everyone can read them.
  • /pronouns clear removes them. /pronouns help shows the help in game.
Can I change my name in chat? (/nick)

/nick <name> gives you a nickname that shows in chat and in the tab list instead of your username. /nick off switches back to your real name.

  • Everyone can use it, no rank needed. Colors and formatting work for everyone too.
  • Nicknames can have colors (like /nick &dMunchkin), hex colors (like &#FF66CC) and bold or italic text (&l, &o).
  • Up to 24 characters. Color codes don't count.

Your real username still shows above your head.

How do I change my look?

Go to the wardrobe, the dressing room in the building down the bridge from spawn. Walk in to try on your cosmetics and preview your character. Costumes, masks and hats come from the Battlepass, crates and the shops.

You can wear up to 3 body cosmetics and 2 balloons at once, and put custom hats on with /hat. See Wardrobe & Cosmetics for more.

Can I sit or lie down?

Yes! Right-click stairs, slabs or carpets with an empty hand to sit on them. Or use one of these commands:

  • /sit, /lay, /bellyflop, /legsup and /spin

Sneak to get back up.

Can I use colors and emojis in chat?

With the Pro rank you can:

  • Write in chat with colors and bold or italic text, using & codes like &b or &l.
  • Use emojis in chat, like , or . Type /emojis to see them all.
  • Use colors when you rename items on an anvil and when you write on signs.

With our modpack, your skin's face shows next to your chat messages.

Money & the Bank

Wallet vs. bank: what's the difference?

Your wallet is the cash on you (it's shown on the sidebar). Your bank is safe storage. New players start with $40 in the bank.

  • /bank shows both balances and opens the bank menu.
  • /deposit <amount> or /deposit all moves wallet → bank.
  • /withdraw <amount> or /withdraw all moves bank → wallet.

Your wallet holds up to $100,000 and your bank up to $10,000,000.

Do I lose money when I die?

Yes, some of your wallet (never your bank). You drop 25% of your first $5,000 plus 50% of everything above that, capped at $10,000.

  • Example: with $2,000 on you, you drop $500. With $20,000 on you, you drop $8,750.
  • The money drops as a cash note. Right-click it to redeem it (sneak + right-click redeems the whole stack). Whoever picks it up gets it!
  • You won't drop cash again if you die within a minute of your last drop, and you never drop cash in the arena.
  • If you die in the void, the cash is gone for good.

Tip: keep the money you don't need in the bank.

How do I make money?
  • Jobs: get paid for mining, chopping, farming and more (see below).
  • The Rift missions pay cash and Battlepass points.
  • Sell items with /sell or in the Item Shop.
  • Auctions: sell to other players at /warp auctions (talk to Petra).
  • Cash notes: right-click a money note to cash it in.
Who's the richest? Can I hide my balance?

/baltop shows the richest players. /hidebal hides you from /baltop and from other players' /bal. /pay <player> <amount> sends money to a friend.

Jobs

How do jobs work?

Type /jobs (or talk to August) and pick a job. After that you earn money and XP just by doing that job, like mining ore as a Miner. As you level up, every action pays a bit more. How much more depends on the job. Holding more than one job lowers the pay a little (5% less per extra job).

You can have 2 jobs at once, or 3 with Upgrade level 4.

What jobs are there?
JobMax level
Miner125
Woodcutter100
Hunter100
Builder80
Digger, Crafter, Fisherman, Weaponsmith, Brewer, Engineer75
Cook65
Farmer, Explorer, Enchanter50

Example Miner pay: stone $0.03, coal ore $0.15, iron ore $0.23, diamond ore $0.60, ancient debris $1.50.

Do jobs give perks?

Eight jobs give perks as you level up: Miner, Builder, Digger, Woodcutter, Farmer, Fisherman, Hunter and Enchanter. You only have a perk while you're in that job and at or above its level.

Miner
Level 25Haste I while holding a pickaxe
Level 5010% chance of an extra drop from ores (and ancient debris)
Level 10015% chance of an extra ore drop (replaces the 10%)
Builder
Level 2510% less fall damage
Level 50Faster climbing on ladders, vines, twisting/weeping vines and scaffolding
Level 7530% less fall damage (replaces the 10%)
Digger
Level 25Haste I while holding a shovel, 5% faster digging with a shovel, and a 3% chance of a bone
Level 50Haste II with a shovel, 10% faster digging (replaces the 5%), plus a 3% chance of a bone, 2.5% flint and 2.5% gunpowder
Level 754.5% chance each of a bone, flint and gunpowder

Digger bonus drops come from dirt, grass, coarse and rooted dirt, podzol, mycelium, gravel, sand, red sand, clay, mud, soul sand and soul soil. Blocks that players placed don't count.

Woodcutter
Level 25Haste I while holding an axe
Level 504% chance of an extra log and 1% chance of an apple when you chop a log or stem
Farmer
Level 253% chance of a double harvest
Level 505% chance of a double harvest (replaces the 3%)
Fisherman
Level 25Luck I while holding a fishing rod (like one extra level of Luck of the Sea)
Level 50Luck II while holding a fishing rod (replaces Luck I)
Hunter
Level 2510% more damage to mobs
Level 5015% more damage to mobs (replaces the 10%), and a 5% chance a mob drops one extra of its normal loot
Level 7520% more damage to mobs, and a 10% extra-loot chance (replace the level 50 ones)
Enchanter
Level 2510% of the XP you spend at an enchanting table is given back
Level 5020% of the XP back (replaces the 10%), a 10% chance to get your lapis back, and anvil repairs and combines cost 25% fewer levels

Woodcutter bonus drops don't count on logs that players placed. Farmer double harvests only count on fully grown wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroots, nether wart and cocoa. Hunter perks don't count against other players. Hunter extra loot doesn't come from spawner mobs or named mobs (that includes dungeon mobs and name-tagged mobs), and it never copies unstackable items like gear, totems or saddles.

The other jobs (Brewer, Cook, Crafter, Engineer, Explorer and Weaponsmith) don't have level perks right now. They pay money and XP, and every job has a daily quest.

What happens if I quit a job?

If you leave a job and join it again later, you lose 20% of your levels in it, unless you were already max level. Choose carefully!

Crates

Where are the crates and how do I open one?

Go to /warp crates. Left-click a crate to preview its prizes, and right-click it while holding the matching key to open it.

Which key crates are there and how do I get keys?
  • Daily: gear, tools, blocks and backpacks, with a very rare spawner. Key: /daily every 24h.
  • Balanced: a mix of useful loot. Key: you get one for every 6 hours of playtime.
  • Diversity: gear, blocks, backpacks, dungeon keys, fly vouchers, even an Epic key. Key: playtime rewards, among other places.
  • Epic: the best stuff, like netherite gear, a backpack, a Viking hat, and very rare elytra, mace or spawner. Key: from the Battlepass. Free tier 16 gives an Epic crate key, and a few later tiers give more. You can also get one from the Diversity crate.

Keys also show up in the Battlepass, playtime rewards and other crates.

Dungeons

How do I get into a dungeon?

You need a dungeon key. There are three arenas: Easy, Medium and Hard, and each one needs its own key.

  • Go to the dungeons with /warp dungeons (or /menu → Warps → Dungeons).
  • Hold the key in your hand and talk to Thyra, then pick the arena. One key is used up.
  • Or type /dungeon to open the Dungeons menu and pick an arena. This works if the key is anywhere in your inventory.
  • After a few seconds you're teleported into the arena in survival mode, with flying and god mode turned off.
Where do I get dungeon keys?
  • Battlepass: some tiers give Easy, Medium or Hard keys.
  • Playtime rewards (/rewards): Easy, Medium and Hard keys.
  • Diversity crate: can give a Hard key.
  • Server Store: keys are also sold there.
  • Inside the dungeons: mobs and bosses can drop keys, often for a harder arena (see the rewards question).
How do the rounds work?
  • When someone enters an empty arena, round 1 starts in 8 seconds.
  • Kill every mob in the round. The action bar shows the round and how many mobs are left.
  • When a round is cleared, the next one starts 10 seconds later.
  • The final round brings a boss. Everyone gets Speed for 60 seconds, and the screen wobbles (nausea) for a few seconds every 15 seconds.
  • If everyone leaves, the arena resets to round 1 and its mobs are cleared.
What are the difficulties?
ArenaRoundsMobsBoss
Easy5Zombies, level 1 to 5Level 6 Zombie Warlord
Medium7Vindicators, pillagers, silverfish, cave spiders, witchesVindicator Champion
Hard10Bogged, strays, endermites, wither skeletons, breezes, evokers, boss zombiesA boss zombie in full netherite with a Sharpness IV sword, Strength II, Speed and Regeneration

In Medium, drowned and guardians show up in the water, and in Hard a ghast flies around. You don't have to kill those to clear a round.

What do I get?
  • Every mob drops iron and a cash note: Easy 2 iron + $0.50, Medium 4 iron + $1, Hard 8 iron + $2. Some mobs drop extra cash or gear.
  • Keys: Easy zombies can drop Easy, Medium or Hard keys (3% to 5%). Some Medium and Hard mobs can drop Medium or Hard keys.
  • Bosses:
    • The Warlord drops a $10 note, with chances of golden apples, diamonds, a netherite ingot or a Medium key.
    • The Champion drops a $15 note, with chances of golden apples, diamonds, netherite or a Hard key.
    • The Hard boss drops something random from cash, strong healing potions, netherite gear, a Hard key or a skeleton spawner.
  • Clearing the dungeon gives everyone inside a reward at their feet:
    • Easy: a $10 note, and a 5% chance of a Medium key.
    • Medium: a $15 note and 3 golden apples, and a 5% chance of a Hard key.
    • Hard: a $25 note and a netherite ingot, and a 3% chance of a Hard key.

Right-click a cash note to cash it in (see Money).

What if I die, and how do I leave?
  • Dying in an arena is safe: you keep your inventory and XP.
  • The only way out is /dleave (or /dungeonleave). It takes you back to the dungeons warp.
  • After you clear the last round, you have 60 seconds to grab your loot. Then everyone is sent out automatically.
Can I bring friends? Is there a cooldown?
  • Yes, you can bring friends. There's no party limit. Everyone in the arena fights the same rounds, and everyone inside gets the clear reward. Each player needs their own key to get in.
  • There's no cooldown. As long as you have a key, you can go again.

Battlepass & The Rift

How does the Battlepass work?

Open it from /menu → Battlepass. It has 26 tiers with a Free reward and a Premium reward on each one.

  • Every 10 points unlocks a tier, and you start with 10.
  • You earn points by doing The Rift missions.
  • Rewards include crate keys, dungeon keys, gear, costumes & masks for your wardrobe, and pets at the top tiers.
How do I get Premium?

Link your Discord with /discord link. That unlocks the Premium track for free!

What is The Rift?

The Rift is a chain of missions. Open it from the Battlepass menu or with /therift. Each mission pays money + Battlepass points, for example:

  • Cut 12 oak logs: $30 + 4 points
  • Harvest 16 wheat: $15 + 4 points
  • Break 128 stone: $37.50 + 5 points
  • Kill 6 zombies: $37.50 + 5 points

There are 4 pages of missions that you do from left to right, with a bonus reward at the end of a page (like Thunderguard Boots).

  • You can only have one mission active at a time.
  • At the start you choose one of two routes.

The Casino

How do I get into the casino?

Go to /warp casino. You'll need Upgrade level 1 ($300, from /menu → Upgrades) to get casino access. Bets use the cash in your wallet. Only gamble what you're happy to lose!

Slots

Pick a bet ($100–$2,500, or a custom amount up to $100,000) and spin the 5 reels. Matching symbols on the middle line pay a multiple of your bet. More matches pay more: up to 50× for five 7s, 20× for grapes or melons, and 15× for stars.

Blackjack

A 2-player table. Sit down, place your bet, and try to get closer to 21 than your opponent without going over.

Crash

Place a bet before the round starts. A multiplier then climbs, and you need to cash out before it crashes. If you cash out in time you win your bet × the multiplier, but if it crashes first you lose your bet. Most rounds crash somewhere between about 1.4× and 2.4×, and rare ones go much higher (up to 25×).

Roulette

A European roulette table run by the croupier Beepy, for up to 10 players. Place chips on a colour, odd/even, a number or a group of numbers, then watch the ball spin.

Lottery (/lottery)

Throw money into the pot in steps of $10, $100 or $1,000. There's a draw every 12 hours, and the more you put in, the better your chance (no one can have more than a 25% chance). The House also adds money to the pot over time and can win too. If the House wins, the pot carries over to the next draw. The winner takes the whole pot!

Wardrobe & Cosmetics

What is the wardrobe?

The wardrobe is a dressing room where you try on your cosmetics. The wardrobe room is in the building down the bridge from spawn. Walk into it and the camera switches to a preview of your character. You can spin and zoom to check your look, then pick what to wear.

How do I get cosmetics?

Costumes, masks and hats come from the Battlepass, crates and the shops. You can preview cosmetics you own in the wardrobe.

To wear hat items you need /hat. See "How do I wear a hat?" below.

How do I wear a hat? (/hat)

/hat puts the hat you're holding on your head. Hold the hat in your hand and type /hat.

  • It only works with the server's custom hats, like the Straw Hat or Viking Horns Hat from the Battlepass, crates and the Hats shop. Normal items can't go on your head.
  • Keep a free inventory slot. /hat won't work if your inventory is full.
  • Hats can't be used in some areas.

How to unlock it:

  • Buy the Hat Command for $700 of in-game money in the Hats shop (/hats).
  • Or get it with the MVP rank or higher.
How many can I wear?

Up to 3 body cosmetics and 2 balloons at once. Some cosmetics can be dyed.

Your cosmetics hide for a short time during PvP combat, so they don't get in the way.

Mail & Mailboxes

How does mail work?

You can mail other players letters, packages (items and XP) and money. Mail is stored in your mailbox menu, not inside the mailbox block.

  • You can only send mail to players who have registered a mailbox, and people can only mail you once you have one. See the next question.
  • To open your mailbox menu, right-click your mailbox or type /mb open. /mb is short for /mailbox.
  • The server's custom mailbox models (red, green, blue and orange) also open your mailbox menu when you right-click them.
How do I get my own mailbox?

Get a free starter kit with /mb kit. It shows the kits, then /mb kit <name> claims one. You can claim a kit 3 times.

Classic_Mailboxchest, oak sign, oak fence
Classic_Barrelbarrel, dark oak sign, dark oak fence
Copper_Chestwaxed copper chest, acacia sign, acacia fence
Wall_Shelf_Mailboxmangrove shelf, mangrove sign

Building it:

  1. Place the fence post.
  2. Put the chest or barrel on top of it.
  3. Attach the kit's sign to the front as a wall sign.
  4. Type /mb register, then right-click the mailbox or its sign. Left-click to cancel.
  • Shelf mailbox: mount the shelf on a wall and put the wall sign directly below it. No fence needed.
  • /mb guide shows the styles in game.
  • You can have up to 5 mailboxes.
  • /mb unregister removes one.

The "Mailbox" in the Item Shop's furniture pages ($160) is decoration only. It doesn't receive mail.

How do I send a letter, items or money?

Open your mailbox menu and click Send Mail, or Compose Mail in your inbox. Then pick a type and a player:

  • Send Letter: choose a Paper Letter, which you type in chat, or a Book Letter. For a Book Letter you get a Book and Quill; write it, then click Sign and Close to send it. Shortcut: /mb letter.
  • Send Package: add items, and XP if you want. The XP is taken from you when the package is sent. Shulker boxes with items inside aren't allowed.
  • Cash On Delivery: you can make a package COD, which means you set a price and the other player has to pay before they can claim it. Their payment is mailed back to you.
  • Send Money: add a message if you want, then type the amount in chat. It comes out of your money.

Mail arrives about 5 seconds after you send it.

Packages and money can only be sent from the mailbox menu. The /mb package and /mb money commands are turned off.

How do I check my mail?
  • Open your mailbox menu and click Inbox. You'll see your letters, packages and money, and there's a Filters button to sort them.
  • Packages: right-click to open. For a COD package, right-click to preview it; you have to accept it before you can claim what's inside.
  • /mb check gives you a quick look at your mail without claiming anything.
  • /mb track shows mail that's still on its way to you.
Notifications, costs & commands?
  • Notifications: a floating piece of paper appears above your mailbox when you have unread mail. It goes away once you've checked everything.
  • You also get new-mail messages when you join and while you're online, with a sound. Change these with /mb settings notification.
  • Cost: the kit is free and sending mail has no fee. You only pay what you send.
  • Limits: up to 5 mailboxes and 3 kit claims. You can also mail yourself.

Voice Chat

Is there voice chat? How do I talk?

Yes. Simple Voice Chat is part of the Munchkinland modpack, so everyone who installs the pack has it.

  • Push to talk: hold mouse button 5 (the front side button on most mice) to talk. The pack starts in push-to-talk mode.
  • Range: people hear you within 48 blocks. Whispering reaches 24 blocks (there's no whisper key by default; you can set one).
  • Other keys: = mutes your mic, N turns voice chat off (you hear nobody), H hides the voice icons.

No side buttons on your mouse? Change the push-to-talk key in Options → Controls → Key Binds, or in the voice chat settings.

How do I change the voice chat settings?

Press V to open the voice chat menu, then click the settings button. In settings you can:

  • pick your microphone and speakers
  • change the volume and the mic amplification
  • switch between push-to-talk and voice activation
  • use the microphone test to hear yourself and check your mic works

If you switch to voice activation, check you aren't muted (crossed-out mic icon). Press = to unmute.

Can I talk to just my friends? (Groups)

Yes. Groups are turned on. Press V and click the group button to make a group (you can add a password) or join one. People in your group hear each other at any distance.

Does Sound Physics work with voice chat?

Yes. If you ticked Sound Physics in the pack quiz, voices echo, reverb and get muffled in caves and rooms, just like game sounds. It's a beta mod, so if anything sounds off, remove it from your mods folder.
